Part Time Positions.  Hot Springs Village Property Owners’ Association has several immediate openings at the new Granada Grill Restaurant.  Available positions include cooks, bartender/servers, and dishwashers.  HSVPOA provides competitive pay and discounted amenities.  Applications will be accepted until filled. These are general job descriptions for all restaurant positions.  Specific job descriptions can be provided upon request.

 

                                          Cook

 

SUMMARY   Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption, and enjoyment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needs.
  2. Wraps, dates, and rotates food items.
  3. utilizes whole food products eliminating waste.
  4. Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.
  5. Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner.
  6. Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
  7. Ensures proper storage of food items.
  8. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  9. Regular and reliable attendance required.

 

                                 Bartender/Server/Other

 

Summary  Serve food and drinks in a professional manner. Maintains bar and serves guests in accordance within established standards and with hospitality and professionalism.  Bartenders must be 21 years of age or older.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
  2. Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.
  3. Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products.  Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
  4. Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
  5. Communicates guest requests and concerns to Supervisor
  6. Accountable for checks and cash transactions.  Utilizes Point of Sales System.
  7. Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
  8. Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
  9. Serves meals to guests as needed.
  10. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  11. Regular and reliable attendance required.

 

 

                                                    Dishwasher

 

SUMMARY   Cleans and properly stocks all dishes, pots, pans, flatware, and glassware.  Maintains cleanliness of entire kitchen including dry storage and walk-in cooler.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Washes dishes, pots, pans, etc. in dish machine or by hand.
  2. Assist in stocking and rotating of incoming products.
  3. Assist in basic food preparation as assigned by the Chef or Food and Beverage Manager.
  4. Empties the kitchen trash receptacles and properly disposes of garbage.
  5. Stores all dishes and other wares in proper areas.
  6. Performs daily cleaning to include dry storage, walk-ion shelving, steam tables, hoods, and exhaust system.
  7. Maintains sanitation standards in assigned areas.
  8. Sweeps and mops floors.
  9. Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdown.
  10. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  11. Regular and reliable attendance required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma, general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS   Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.

REASONING ABILITY   Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
