CORONADO CENTER MANAGER

Full-Time Supervisory Position – This position is responsible for daily operations of the Coronado Center, assist with scheduling the activities, programs and meetings at Coronado Center and recreation facilities throughout HSV. Directly supervises employees at Coronado Community Center. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to work in public. Ability to exercise independent good judgement.  Computer and some Tech skills are needed. SUMMARY: Appointed by the Director of Recreation.  Requires valid Arkansas drivers’ license and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.  Responsible for daily operations of the Coronado Center, and assist with scheduling the activities, programs and meetings at Coronado Center and recreation facilities throughout Hot Springs Village.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Coordinate events and opportunities for lifestyle programming at facility with Cultural Programs Manager.
  2. Maintains records including but not limited to daily reports, events, payment of bills, calendars,
  3. Statistics and all other reports as may be requested.
  4. Supervises maintenance of office equipment, order and inventory office supplies and liquor.
  5. Prepares, implements and monitors budget, capital improvements and long-range planning for facility needs.
  6. Ensures proper set up of rental space, tables, equipment, coffee, etc. in accordance with patron requests within rules and capabilities of the facilities.
  7. Ability to work with organization representatives relative to programs, scheduling, pricing and to assist with creating a stable, satisfying level of programming for the community.
  8. Maintains harmony among employees and solves grievances.
  9. Must be able to work nights, weekends and/or holidays when required.
  10. May be required to drive POA vehicle or personal vehicle while conducting POA business.
  11. Regular attendance is required.
  12. Any other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  13. Deliver outstanding customer service, making every effort to accommodate customer needs.
  14. Ensure the safety of patrons and staff through accident prevention and safety policy, enforcing all facility and recreation location rules and regulations.
  15. Have a thorough knowledge of rules, regulations and operational use with regard to POA amenity use.
  16. Maintain a safe, clean amenity/facility at all times.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent.  Requires computer skills and good public relations and communication skills.  Ability to work with public.  Ability to exercise independent good judgment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to computer rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
