U.S. Army Field Band Pre-Concert Dinner – Sat – Apr 1, 2017 – 6 p.m.
The Military Officers Association of America is holding a pre-concert dinner prior to the U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus concert (separate ticket required). Sponsored by RE/MAX of Hot Springs Village, the dinner will include a Hamburger, Polish Sausage, Wedge Potatoes, Tea and Water. A cash bar will be available for additional drink purchases. Cost of the dinner is $15.00 per ticket. All proceeds benefit MOAA Scholarships and U.S. Veteran assistance.
The United States Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus- Sat – Apr 1, 2017 – 7:30 p.m. – Woodlands Auditorium
The United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus, have appeared in all 50 states and more than 30 countries. The 65-member Concert Band and 29-member Soldiers’ Chorus perform regularly in some of the most famous concert halls in the world. Together these two ensembles offer unparalleled versatility of programming, ranging from orchestral masterworks and operatic arias to Sousa marches, jazz classics, and Broadway musicals. Tickets for this event are FREE, but are REQUIRED for admittance to the auditorium. Special Notes: Tickets are limited to 4 per order. A waiting list for this event will be available on the night of the concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Woodlands Auditorium on a first come, first serve basis. Ticket holders not seated by 7:20 p.m. forfeit their ticket. All seats not occupied at 7:21 p.m. will be filled by those on the waiting list regardless of ticketed status. The Woodlands Auditorium has 8 wheelchair seats available. Once a general admission ticket has been purchased, the customer is responsible for calling the Ponce de Leon Center office at 501.922.4231 to reserve one of the 8 seats (Order number will be required to reserve wheelchair spaces). All wheelchair seats are available on a first come, first serve basis and once full, ticket holder must be able to transfer to a regular seat in order to attend the concert. A Band Called Honalee – Fri – Apr 21, 2017 – 7:30pm – Woodlands Auditorium
A Band Called Honalee, is a modern-day folk trio inspired by the legacy of Peter, Paul & Mary. Musically accomplished, interactive and energetic, A Band Called Honalee draws inspiration from The Mamas & Papas, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Byrds and other legends of 1960s folk-rock . By reinvigorating their iconic songs with fresh harmonies, A Band Called Honalee brings this vital American music back to life once more. Presented by the Ponce de Leon Center in partnership with the HSV Concerts Association, reserved seating tickets are only $20.00 plus tax.
Crawfish & Shrimp Boil – Sat – Apr 22, 2017 – 5:00pm – Waypoint at DeSoto Marina
Hot Springs Village Recreation is hosting a Crawfish and Shrimp Boil. Tickets are limited and will be on sale through April 11, 2017 or until sold out. Sponsored by Terminix of Hot Springs Village and Monita Collins of Century 21, the Crawfish and Shrimp Boil will being at 5:00 p.m. Live music by Fire & Brimstone begins at 6:00 p.m. Transportation for overflow parking is provided by Mt. Carmel Community. Choose from crawfish or shrimp sold by the pound. Includes potatoes and corn, and unlimited tea or lemonade. Beer, wine and soda will be available for purchase from Waypoint at DeSoto Marina. Crawfish – $12.00 per pound Shrimp – $15.00 per pound.
