New Master Plan is Blueprint for Hot Springs Village Growth and Development

The Hot Springs Village Property Owners’ Association has engaged two highly acclaimed and award-winning organizations, Crafton Tull and DPZ Partners LLC to develop the community’s first-ever comprehensive master plan. The plan will be the cornerstone of Hot Springs Village’s growth and economic development for years to come.

The Hot Springs Village POA Board of Directors voted in early September to create the comprehensive master plan. This vote was held following a presentation made by Little Rock-based Crafton Tull and DPZ, headquartered in Miami. Both companies have had success in planning and developing communities throughout the United States and internationally.

“This comprehensive master plan is a blueprint for growth,” said Lesley Nalley, CEO of the Hot Springs Village POA. “We are eager to get to work planning for the future and re-energizing the community through this process. Public input is an essential factor in creating the best comprehensive master plan possible. We look forward to stakeholder involvement as we work with two extremely qualified companies to make Hot Springs Village the ideal place to live and raise a family.”

The companies’ next step upon approval of the plan is a public charrette—an intense period of design and planning activity—likely in late November and early December. During this time, stakeholders will be asked to contribute to the creation of the comprehensive master plan. Stakeholder input will be vital in the important process that will shape the future of Hot Springs Village.

The Hot Springs Village POA sought out the best companies in the country to manage the planning process because a comprehensive plan is essential for sustainable growth that seeks to protect and enhance property values.

Crafton Tull is a leader in the field of civil engineering, surveying, architecture, and planning. DPZ has offices in three major U.S. cities and in Berlin, and it has managed more than 300 city and greenfield projects, from architecture to regional plans. These organizations will work in tandem with specialists in economic growth strategies, cost estimates, architecture, construction, and marketing/branding as part of the planning process.

Hot Springs Village is also working with state agencies like the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism to make sure that the new plan aligns with the state’s economic development focus and strengthens Arkansas’s impact on the region and the world.
