Fire Department

Hot Springs Village has four fire stations located throughout the Village. There are 18 paid firefighters who work 24-hour shifts, in three shifts, each shift working ten days a month. There are also 30 volunteer firefighters that assist the fire department.

The Hot Springs Village Fire Department service area is approximately 26,000 acres inside the Village. They also assist the surrounding volunteer fire departments under a mutual aid agreement.

The fire department provides extrication assistance to the Hot Springs Village EMS service for accidents inside the Village and for northern Garland and northwest Saline County upon request.

The Village Fire Department currently maintains a Class 5 rating from the Insurance Service Office (ISO). The ISO rating is a factor in determining the cost of insurance to be paid by property owners. The lower the number, the higher the rating.

The Village is currently a Firewise certified community.
